Fire Funding in Upper Providence

The following slides were presented at a Spring 2017 Upper Providence Board of Supervisors public meeting.  The proposed funding formula was passed at a May 2017 meeting.

As one can see from the slides below, the previous (2016) formula was heavily weighted towards the Black Rock Volunteer Fire Company.  The new funding formula re-allocates the money to more fairly and equitably support the other three volunteer fire companies that service the Township.  It should be noted that Black Rock Volunteer Fire Company still receives the majority of Upper Providence Township funding.
